About Us
The Malaysia Strategic Trade Control Community (MYSTCC) is an initiative by the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). MITI began the groundwork process to establish an export control society in Malaysia In 2019. In 2021, the Deputy Minister of MITI, Mr. Lim Ban Hong launched MYSTCC with the intention to bridge the gap between the government and the business community on matters related to strategic trade controls.
After years of hard work by MITI, the baton was passed to the industry in July 2023. MYSTCC was officially registered as an association with the Malaysian Registrar of Societies in September 2023. The Minister of MITI, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, announced the establishment of MYSTCC to international audience at the Malaysia Strategic Trade Summit (MySTS) in October 2023. MYSTCC is currently spearheaded by the industry itself; fostering collaboration between businesses, professionals, and government agencies.
